For Windows 7/Server 2008 R2,

click [View your active networks] -

[Local Area Connection].

Click the [Properties] button.

In the list of services, locate [Internet Protocol

Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] and click on it. Next, click on

[Properties].

When the [User Account Control] dialog box is

displayed to check the user account before

[Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box

appears, click [Continue].

Make sure [IP address] settings have been properly

configured.

For details on how to configure Windows such as

the IP address, see the Windows manual and Help

function or ask your network administrator. For

technical information about TCP/IP, see commercially

available publications.

Next, verify that TCP/IP communication between the

printer and Windows is enabled. Select [Command

Prompt] menu from [Start] - [All Programs] -

[Accessories].
