Notes for Color Controller E-43A/E-83A
 Interlocking the main power of Color Controller E-43A/E-83A
Color Controller E-43A/E-83A has a function to interlock the main power with the
printer (Pro C7100S/C7100SX/C7110S/C7110SX or Pro C7100/C7100X/C7110/
C7110X).
By turning this function on in Color Controller E-43A/E-83A, the color controller's
power goes off when the printer is turned off.
Turning the interlock function on and off is done via a switch above the printer
interface board at the rear of Color Controller E-43A/E-83A. When the switch is set
to OFF, the interlock function is turned off, and when the switch is turned to ON, the
interlock function is turned on.
Color Controller E-43A/E-83A has the Low Power Mode function. In order to receive
the print job data all times, the default setting is OFF.

 Color Controller E-43A/E-83A for Fifth Station printer has two switches on the back of the
controller. In the case of Color Controller E-43A/E-83A for Fifth Station, turn on the upper
switch.
 Turning Off the Main Power
<Important>
 Do not turn off the main power switch when the operation switch indicator is lit or blinking.
Doing so may result in damage to the hard disk or memory.
 Make sure to turn off the main power switch before pulling out the power plug. Not doing
so may result in damage to the hard disk or memory, leading to malfunctions.
 After turning off the main power switch, wait for two minutes or more before turning it on
again.
 <When interlocking function is set to ON>
1. Shut down the main power of printer.
2. The main power of Color Controller E-43A/E-83A is shut down in synchroni-
zation.
*No action is necessary on control panel of the printer.
