Stopwatch <SP>
Press
to select Lap (LA) or Split (SP) mode.
Under LA mode:

• The stopwatch resets to zero and restarts counting internally.

Radio-controlled time reception information <RI>
Shows information relevant to the last successful reception. This includes
the local time at which the last successful synchronisation takes place.

Radio Signal Reception
When in reception mode, the radio tower icon
display. The wave indicator
shows the strength of reception.
The range is from 0 - 6 bars. 0 is the weakest and 6 is the strongest.
Both auto and manual reception is possible. Each reception session lasts
15 minutes at maximum. Auto reception takes place twice daily at
1:05 am and 3:05 am. Manual reception is activated by pressing and
holding
until the radio tower icon is shown. To cancel reception,
press and hold
until the icon disappears.

Radio-controlled time reception <RX>
To activate the reception:
• Press SET button.

DUAL -- Japan dual band scanning (JJY40 and JJY60)

To disable the reception:
• Press SET button to disable the reception.
• The radio tower icon will disappear from the display.
Interference
Reception can be affected by a number of factors. For optimal reception,
please note that:
• A minimum distance of 8 feet should be kept from any interference
source, such as TV sets, computer monitors, microwave ovens and etc.
• Reception might be weak within concrete rooms (e.g. basements,
superstructures, office buildings). In extreme cases, place the clock
close to a window.
• Some localities may be subject to severe atmospheric disturbances.
However, such interference usually weakens during the night.
A single daily reception is sufficient to keep the accuracy reading.
• If the alarm goes off during radio reception, the session will be
interrupted and restart after the alarm has stopped.

If you choose to disable the reception for a certain period, or auto
synchronisation is not successful or there is faulty reception, then follow
the steps below to set the clock manually:
