Epson 1280 - Stylus Photo Color Inkjet Printer Supplementary Manual
Photos Printed with the Epson Stylus Photo 2000P
The Epson Stylus Photo 2000P uses the same six-color Archival inks as the Epson Stylus Pro line of large format printers
for fine art and other professional applications. The pigmented-based Archival inks offer lightfastness, water fast and air
contaminant resistant prints with unparalleled durability for prints from a desktop printer. Since the image quality of all
photos will eventually deteriorate, using the appropriate photo papers and proper care of photos are still important. Epson
offers an extensive line of photo media for use with the Epson Stylus Photo 2000P:
Premium Luster Photo Paper - The most popular photoweight compatible photo paper in a brilliant
semigloss finish, similar in surface to E type photographic paper. Perfect for portrait and wedding
prints.
Premium Semigloss Photo Paper- Heavyweight semi-flat to semi-gloss finish similar in surface to M type
photographic paper. Perfect for a wide variety of photographic printing projects.
Archival Matte Paper- Beautiful flat finished heavyweight paper, with no texture surface. Popular for fine
art use.
Watercolor Paper-Radiant White- Heavyweight paper with a textured matte finish. Ideal for artwork and
specialty projects.
Premium Glossy Photo Paper – Not recommended, but compatible. The paper offer a glossy to semi-
glossy finish when printed by Epson Archival inks. Gloss differential "or bronzing" may be
evident with lower saturated images.

Actual print stability will vary according to media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity and atmospheric conditions. Lightfastness
ratings do not measure paper deterioration, such as yellowing. Epson does not guarantee the longevity of prints. For maximum print life display all
prints under glass or lamination or properly store them.
As with traditional photos, proper care will maximize display life. For indoor display, Epson recommends that prints be framed under glass or in a
protective plastic sleeve to protect the prints from atmospheric contaminants like humidity, cigarette smoke, and high levels of ozone. And, as with
all photographs, the prints should be kept out of direct sunlight. For proper storage, Epson recommends that your prints be stored in a photo album
(or plastic photo storage box) in acid free, archival sleeves commonly available from most camera shops and other retailers. By taking these steps to
protect prints from direct sunlight and contaminants, you can preserve your photos for many years.
