5.2
Configuring the iVOX or VOX
With the Internal Voice Operated Transmission (iVOX) or Voice Operated Transmission (VOX), you
can begin transmission by speaking into the microphone of the radio or audio accessory instead of
pressing the PTT button.

Procedure:
1 Press the Menu/Lock button until the radio displays iVOX icon.
The radio displays VOX icon when an audio accessory is connected.
The current setting (Off, L1–L3) blinks.
2 To select the sensitivity level, press the + or - button.
3 To exit menu, press the PTT button.
You can continue the set-up by pressing the Menu/Lock button.
NOTE: Using the iVOX or VOX causes a short delay in transmission.
5.3
Setting the Dual Watch Mode
The Dual Watch mode enables you to scan the current channel and another channel alternately.
Procedure:
1 Press the Menu/Lock button until the Dual Watch icon blinks.
The current call setting blinks.
2 To select the channel, press the + or - button. Then press the Menu/Lock button.
3 To select the code, press the + or - button.
4 To activate Dual Watch, press the PTT button or wait until time out.
The screen alternates between the Home Channel and Dual Watch Channel.
5 To end Dual Watch mode, press the Menu/Lock button.
NOTE: If you set the same channel and code as the current channel, the Dual Watch
Mode is not enabled.
