5. Load a disc.
@ Whether a LaserVision video disc or Compact Disc, be
sure to load the disc so that the label of the side you
wish to play is facing up.
@ If fingerprints or dirt adheres to the playback surface of
the disc, the video and audio quality will be impaired.
Before loading a disc, clean the disc's bottom surface
(see page 6).
6. Close the disc table.
Slowly push in the disc table until it locks with a click.
7. Press the PLAY (®) button.
The PLAY
indicator will begin flashing. When
the disc
reaches its designated rotating speed, playback will begin,
and the PLAY indicator will light steadily.
The front panel numeric display will show the CHAPTER
numbers for LaserVision video discs, and TRACK numbers
for Compact Discs.
NOTE: HAVE YOU LOOSENED THE TRANSIT
SCREWS?
If the transit screws fixing the internal mechanisms have not
been loosened, or only loosened partway, the player will not
Operate properly. If the player fails to operate even though a
disc has been loaded properly, check once again to make sure
the transit screws have been completely loosened.
Press the EJECT (&) button.
Remove the disc,
and press the disc table
into the player.

Turn off the power switch, and disconnect the power
plug from the electrical outlet.
Disconnect the connecting cables from the rear panel
terminals.
Refer to page 8, and loosen the transit screws completely.

VHF CHANNEL ADJUSTMENT FOR
VIDEO DISC PLAYBACK
The video and audio signals picked up from the video disc
are passed to the TV set as VHF television signals (CH3 or
CH4). Channel tuning should be performed following the
procedure listed below.
1. Press one of the channel selector buttons on your TV set
not occupied by a broadcasting TV station.
2. Start disc playback.
3. Adjust the tuning knob of your TV set corresponding to
the channel selector button pressed in step 1 above until
the picture from the disc playback is at its clearest.
NOTE:
Details on tuning may be found in the instruction manual for the
TV set in use.
