CONNECTIONS
When combined with cassette deck receiver
{RX-Z15, RX-Z35)

When combined with cassette deck amplifier
(DC-Z75, DC-Z85)
Fiat cable ~ Make sure that the connector is inserted into
the terminal in the correct up/down direction.

Make sure that all of the components are turned off before making
connections,
Output cable connection
Connect the OUTPUT jacks of this unit to the input jacks (CD or AUX)
of the receiver {or amplifier).
Make sure that the white plugs are
connected to the left (L) jacks and the red plugs to the right (R) jacks.

Be sure not to connect this unit to the receiver's PHONO jacks,
as sound will be distorted and normal playback will not be
possible.

Make sure plugs are inserted fully into the jacks.
Flat cable connection
(Not available with U.S. and Canadian models.)
When combined with cassette deck amplifier of PIONEER (DC-
275, DC-Z85), connect the flat cable terminal of the player to the CD
terminal of the cassette deck amplifier.
Insert the
connector
until it locks.
When
disconnecting
the
connector, pull it in the opposite direction while pressing the left
and right claws.

For details on connections and operation, refer to the operating
instructions supplied with the cassette deck amplifier.
Power cord connection
Connect the power cord to an AC outlet on your receiver (or
amplifier).
CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
(For U.S. and Canadian models)
Household electrical outlets are provided with specific polarity, a live
side and a neutral (ground) side. This unit utilizes such polarity inorder
to improve sound quality.
As shown in the illustration, be sure to
insert the power plug so that its blades match the width of slots in the
outlet.

System remote control with a Pioneer stereo
receiver (or amplifier) that has the
mark
When
a Pioneer stereo receiver (or amplifier) bearing the
mark is used, connect the CONTROL
IN jack on the rear panel of
the CD player to the CONTROL
OUT jack of the receiver (or
amplifier).
This will enabie the CD player to be controlled using
the remote
contro! unit supplied with the stereo receiver (or
amplifier),
If you do not plan to use this feature,
it is not
necessary to connect CONTROL
IN/OUT jacks.

The control cord is supplied with the CD player.

The remote control unit supplied with the receiver (or amplifier)
can be used to control Play, Stop, Pause, Track/Dise Search
and Disc Change operations.

For instructions regarding connections and operation, refer to
the operating instructions provided with your stereo receiver
{or amplifier).
NOTES:
e
Besure to connect either the CONTROL IN jack or the flat cable
terminal. Never connect both of the CONTROL IN jack and flat
cable terminal at the same time.
When connecting either the CONTROL IN jack or the flat cable
terminal, turn off the power of the player beforehand.
The
corresponding function can be carried out whenever the power
is turned on.

Be sure to connect both of the control cord's plugs securely to
the CONTROL IN and CONTROL OUT terminals. Donot connect
only one end of the cord.
