Make sure the fireplace is installed according to local
codes.
In order to use the optional hearth base, the bottom of the
fireplace must have been installed 9-1/4" above the finished
floor level as shown above. The fireplace should sit in recess in
the optional base with front pulled against the front part of the
top.

Put the top (a) over the cabinet with the back of the top
resting on the ledger board.
Using an electric drill, predrill 1/16" holes down through the top
into the ledger board. The holes should be drilled 1/2" off of
the back edge of the top. Attach the top to the ledger board
using (2) 4D finishing nails (provided) through predrilled holes.
Use a nail set to set the nail head below surface of top, and fill
the resulting hole with an appropriate filler.

Set cabinet in it's final position, fireplace must be already
installed. The fireplace front should be 17-1/4" from the the wall
for SL-350, SL-550, SL-750 fireplaces and 20" from the wall for
ND3933, ND3630 fireplaces. Make sure that the face of the
fireplace and front surface of the marble cleats line up. Make
sure there is proper clearances around fireplace and enough
room for marble header and legs.
Using a stud finder or other method, mark off the location of the
vertical studs. Line up the top edge of ledger board with the top
edge of returns and attach ledger board to the wall using 2 #8 3"
drywall screws (h).

If you are not using non-combustible hearth or you are using
optional base, go to the next step.
Apply construction adhesive to bottom of hearth and install it on
the floor between cabinet the legs, pushed back against the fire-
place
