Introduction

PhaserMatch Software, Version 4.0

PhaserMatch 4.0 is a color management application for the Phaser 7760, 7750, and 7700
printers. The PhaserMatch software includes both color management and color calibration
functionality. This application creates, edits, and manages TekColor corrections that are used
with these color laser printers. Using PhaserMatch software, a user can modify the color
output from these printers to more closely match a different output device, such as a copy
device or printing press. PhaserMatch can edit device link profiles provided with the
PhaserMatch installation or create entirely new TekColor corrections from industry-standard
ICC profiles. PhaserMatch can manage the TekColor corrections stored on a Phaser 7760 or a
Phaser 7750 printer's internal hard drive.
PhaserMatch can also calibrate Phaser 7760, 7750, and 7700 printers. Color calibration is used
to maintain consistent print results. Color laser printers must be periodically calibrated to
eliminate changes in printed colors caused by environmental conditions, such as temperature
and humidity, and normal wear on printer supplies, such as toner cartridges and imaging units.
Note:
When you are using the PhaserMatch software, click the Help (?) button in the upper
right hand corner of the screen to view detailed help about each screen.

PhaserCal Software, Version 4.0

PhaserCal 4.0 is a color calibration application for the Phaser 7760, 7750, or 7700 printers. If
you have installed the PhaserMatch software, you do not need to install the PhaserCal
software. Color calibration is used to maintain consistent print results. Color laser printers
must be periodically calibrated to eliminate changes in printed colors caused by environmental
conditions, such as temperature and humidity, and normal wear on printer supplies, such as
toner cartridges and imaging units.
Note:
The calibration procedures are not intended to provide color matching from the printer
to another output device; the full version of PhaserMatch should be used for this purpose.
Users of PhaserCal software who need to create or edit TekColor corrections for their printers
should purchase the full version of PhaserMatch software.
