Xerox Phaser 4500 Manual

IMPROVEMENTS OVER THE PHASER 4400

The Phaser 4500 is an all-new design black and white engine, representing the latest technology from
Fuji-Xerox. One major difference in this design is the elimination of the manual bypass tray, replaced
by a full 150-sheet paper feeder, which will be designated as Tray 1. Thus, the base configuration will
now include two paper trays with size sensing. Additionally, the Envelope Feeder option has been elim-
inated altogether. Envelopes can be fed from any paper feeder. Also new on the Phaser 4500 will be a
Ratchet Lock elevation technology in the paper trays, replacing the tray elevator motors on the Phaser
4400, for lighter and more reliable paper trays.
