Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Yamaha KX25 / KX49 / KX61 USB KEYBOARD STUDIO.

The package includes the MIDI keyboard for controlling a computer via USB and the DAW application

software, Cubase AI4. Simply connecting a computer to the KX via a USB cable port enables you to configure

an ideal environment for music production.

In order to take full advantage of the KX's superior functionality and enjoy years of trouble-free use, please

read this manual before you begin using the product. Also, keep this book in a safe place for future reference.

Link with Cubase

This keyboard is equipped with the Link functions matching Cubase 4 / Studio 4 / AI 4, letting you produce

music with tremendous efficiency.

Track Operations of the VSTi (VST instrument)

From the KX panel, you can perform the VSTi operations such as track creation and Voice selection.

Four Knobs letting you control various parameters

This keyboard is equipped with the four knobs useful for control the parameters of the VSTi software

synthesizer. Just by selecting the Control Template for the software synthesizer you want to control, you can

use the knobs to control parameters of the software synthesizer. The KX provides 30 preset Control Templates

for various software synthesizers, which can be edited or customized to assign your favorite functions to the

knobs.

Powerful Arpeggio feature

The KX features the Arpeggiator, letting you play various phrases depending on the notes you pressed. You

can easily call up various phrases such as the analog synthesizer-like one, backing performance of guitar or

bass and drum/percussion rhythm pattern.

USB bus-powered supported

The KX can be used as a bus-powered type device (powered by the host computer via the USB connector).

Simply connecting a computer to the KX via a USB cable supplies the power from the computer to the KX.
