POWER SUPPLY
Your PortaSound PSS-101/102 will run either from
batteries or an optional AC power adaptor. Please
follow the instructions below according to the
power source you plan to use.
® Batteries
Put six 1.5V AA-size batteries (SUM-3, R-6, or
equivalent) in the battery compartment.
1. Open the battery compartment cover on the
instrument's bottom panel.
2. Insert six batteries in the directions indicated by
the polarity markings on the cabinet.
3. Replace the cover. Make certain that it locks in
place firmly.
Cautions:
* When the batteries run down, replace all six
batteries with new ones. Never mix old and new
batteries.
* The included batteries are for testing purposes.

Their service life might be shortened due to
storage conditions, etc.
@ Optional AC power adaptor
Insert the DC output plug from the optional
Yamaha AC power adaptor (PA-1, PA-1B, or PA-3)
into the DC(9 —12V)IN jack on the rear panel. Then
plug the adaptor to a standard wall outlet.
