Firmware notes
Driver Priority Unlock: If the vehicle is equipped, drivers' priority unlock must be configured via User Settings mode on the cluster:
Š
• All Door Unlock - Set the Two Press Unlock setting to Off (must also set during module flashing)
• Driver Priority Unlock - Set the Two Press Unlock setting to On (must also set during module flashing)
TPMS light: The TPMS light will come on during runtime or idle mode, and will go out after vehicle takeover.
Š
Remote Start Ready (RSR):
Š
•RSR installations are not compatible with vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.
•Remote Start Ready (RSR) is a function that enables the interface module to remote start the vehicle completely on its own
Consequently, there is no need for an aftermarket or an OEM remote starter in order to start the vehicle from a distance.
•SmartStart is equipped with D2D, which means it can be connected to an interface module and used in
Remote Start Ready (RSR) mode without the use of a remote starter. See "Module programming" for more information.
Š
Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Š
Refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.
Footnotes
[1] Hood pin: The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is only required on vehicles that are not equipped with a factory hood pin or if
not supported in data.
[2] PTS connections: Connection is optional. Connecting the PTS wires will result in a "Get it and Go" takeover procedure for the client.
If not connected, the client needs to push the PTS button for Takeover and Pit Stop mode.
Important!
In the "Quick Reference Guide" section, you must check off the box that corresponds with the installation.
[3] Telematics: Connection only required when installing a SmartStart with telematics features.
