GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MACHINE

Control panel

1 Programme guide

It will help you to select the suitable programme for

your laundry.

2 Spin speed reduction button

By depressing this button the spin speed is

reduced as follows:

- cotton and linen and programme D: from 1200

to 650 rpm

- synthetics, delicates, wool, programme M

and P: from 650 to 450 rpm

3 Rinse hold button

Press this button to make the machine stop with

water in the drum after the synthetic or delicate

wash cycles.

This prevents any creasing which may take place if

the clothes are left damp in the drum. When it is

convenient for you to empty the machine, simply

press this button again so that the machine can

proceed to drain and spin, or turn the dial to the

drain programme "N".

If this button is not activated, the washing

programmes will end with a short spin.

Do not press this button for woollens: wool items

should be gently spun.

4 Quick wash button

By depressing this button on programmes A, B, C

and F the wash time will be reduced by approx. 20

mins.

This is suitable only for garments which are lightly

soiled.

5 Extra rinse button

With programmes for cotton and linen an extra

rinse can be selected by pressing this button.

To be used in areas where the water is very soft or

for people who are allergic to detergents or have

very delicate skin.

6 Economy button

By depressing this button prior to selecting wash

programme A you will obtain a reduction of the

wash temperature from 95° to 60°C.

The duration of the programme will not alter. This

will ensure a substantial saving in electricity

consumption.

It is advisable to use Economy when washing

normally soiled fabrics.

7 On/Off button

Press this button to start the machine. The same

button is used to switch the machine off.

Before selecting a programme or changing an

ongoing programme the machine must be switched

off by depressing the On/Off button.

8 Temperature selector dial

(thermostat)

To select the washing temperature turn the dial to

the required value.

When your laundry is only lightly soiled, a cold

wash can be used (dial to position

9 Mains-on light

It comes on when the machine starts operating and

goes out when the On/Off button is released.

10 Programme selector dial

To select the required washing programme turn the

dial clockwise.
