The burner caps and crowns can be removed for cleaning.
Wash the burners caps and crowns using hot soapy water, and remove
marks with a mild paste cleaner. A well moistened soap impregnated steel
wool pad can be used with caution, if the marks are particularly difficult to
remove.
After cleaning, be sure to wipe dry with a soft
cloth.
Frequently wash the "caps" and the "crowns"
with hot soapy water, carefully taking away
any built-up of food.
The cap and the crown of each burner are
secured with two screws. To separate the two
pieces, lift the cap, turn it upside down, then
undo the two fixing screws as shown in Fig. 2.
After a thorough cleaning, reassemble the two
parts and refit the cap in its correct position
on the burner.

The electric ignition is obtained through a ceramic "candle" and a metal
electrode (Fig.1 - lett. C). Keep these components well clean, to avoid
difficult lighting, and check that the burner crown holes (Fig.1 - lett. B) are
not obstructed.
