Chapter 3. Configuration of ThinkServer Remote Management
Module
This section describes how to use the server configuration utility to change the Remote Management Module
from the un-configured status to the running status. When first installed, the Remote Management Module
by default will search DHCP server on the network to automatically assign IP address, subnet mask and
gateway. It is recommended that users manually set a fixed IP address in the BIOS.
To set IP address, do the following:
1. Press F1 as soon as you see the logo screen.
2. From the BIOS setup menu, select Server Management ➙ BMC LAN Configuration ➙ Configuration
Source.
3. From the Configuration option, you can choose STATIC or DHCP to set IP address.
4. When you finish the configuration, please save the settings.
