Safety
This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the speaker and its charger lead out of reach of children under the age of 8.
The speaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise
their safety, provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product
and understand the hazards involved. Never let children play with the speaker.
The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Never try to open
the casing of the speaker. The casing houses dangerous current-carrying non-
insulated components. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation, with a distance of at least
5 cm between the speaker and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
the speaker from overheating.
Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface.
Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquids.
Do not place the speaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as
wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
Never subject the speaker to high temperatures, damp or dusty environments,
heavy vibrations or impacts.
Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead
to permanent hearing loss.
The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.

Operating instructions

Charging
1. Connect the included charger lead to the charging port (4) on the speaker and
to a computer or other USB charger.
2. The LED indicator (5) will shine red steadily when the speaker is being
charged. The indicator will go out when the built-in battery is fully charged.
Connecting an external Bluetooth device
1. Switch the speaker on by holding in [
indicator flashes blue.
2. Activate Bluetooth on the device to be paired with the speaker.
3. The speaker will appear on your device as CR-1834, select it and pair it with
your device. Once connection has been established the LED indicator on
the speaker will shine a steady blue.
4. Start playback on the external device. Control playback from your external
device or from the speaker by holding in [ + ] or [ – ] to raise/lower the volume
and quick-pressing [ + ] or [ – ] to change tracks.
Note:
If you are prompted to enter a PIN code on your device, you should enter
0000 (four zeroes). Certain devices may also require you to approve
the connection.
If you have connected a mobile phone to the speaker via Bluetooth and
receive a call whilst you are listening to music, the music will be switched off
automatically. Once the call has been ended, music playback will be resumed
(if your phone settings permit this).

Connecting an external device via the AUX input
1. Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable between your external device and the aux
input (6) on the speaker.
2. Start playback on the external device.
3. Check and adjust the volume level on the connected device and the speaker.
Note: You cannot change tracks on the speaker when an external device is
connected via the AUX input socket.

Care and maintenance

Clean the speaker using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of
with general household waste. This applies throughout the entire
EU. In order to prevent any harm to the environment or health
hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal, the product must
be handed in for recycling so that the material can be disposed
of in a responsible manner. When recycling your product,
take it to your local collection facility or contact the place of
purchase. They will ensure that the product is disposed of in
an environmentally sound manner.

The built-in battery may be flat. Charge if needed.
Check the volume level of both the speaker and
the connected device.
If using the AUX input
Check that the audio cable connecting the device and
the speaker is intact and securely connected.
If using Bluetooth
Make sure that the Bluetooth connection has been
properly established.
Test the playback from your external device before
connecting it to the speaker to ensure that it works.
Try using another file for playback. The file you are
attempting to play may be corrupted.
Things to consider:
Other wireless equipment using the same frequency
band can reduce the transmission range.
The range of all wireless equipment depends on
the type of obstacles located between the transmitter
and the receiver (e.g. a concrete wall will interfere with
the signal more than a plasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try the following:
Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check
whether this is the cause of the problem. Reposition
the wireless equipment, shorten the distance between
the transmitter and the receiver or reduce the number of
obstacles (walls, furniture, etc.) between them.
