Frequent asked questions

I'm getting feedback/noise after unplugging audio device. Any ideas?
When not in use, please unplug cable from jack. (jack should be empty when
not in use)

Will the AUX-CTS work in vehicles with Navigation?
YES;
Except SRX with Navigation Radios. See Question 7.
3.
My XM subscription has expired, will the AUX-CTS work?
YES;
having the XM Tuner Module is the only requirement.
4.
I don't know if my vehicle has XM Tuner. How can I find out?
Turn Radio "ON", press "BAND" button repeatedly to cycle through
AM/FM/XM1/XM2. If only AM/FM is displayed, your vehicle does not have an XM
Tuner Module.
Can I install this adapter without removing the radio?

Purchase our AUX-GM3x which connects to the XM Tuner Module on rear shelf.

You offer two cable versions, namely Expired and Active. What is the
difference?

Important: Expired version will not allow XM playback at any time, therefore to
retain XM Playback (now or in the future), purchase "Active" version.

AUX-SRX
(connects to radio) or
Tuner Module at rear side panel).
8. In 2005 Cadillac moved the TAN/WHITE wire on 8-pin gray plug; however we
it is possible some late 2004 models were also affected. If you own a 2004-
05 CTS (not applicable to SRX), check the wiring on Radio's Gray prior to
ordering. Doing so guarantees proper playback and avoids costly returns.

To get the right adapter for 2004-05 vehicles, you must select radio model/year based
on location of the TAN/WHITE wire.

playback on the left or right side
only.
