BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using for the  rst time, it is recommended to clean the interior of the moka maker thoroughly. Follow the procedures below

before  rst use.

1. Remove all packaging materials and check that the product has been received in good condition.

2. Taking care to keep the electrical components on the exterior of the heating base dry, wipe the interior of the carafe, stainless steel  lter and heating

base with a damp cloth. If your hand will not  t inside the moka maker, swish warm, soapy water around the interior with the lid closed.

3. Rinse the inside of the moka maker thoroughly with water to remove any soapy residue.

4. With a damp cloth, gently wipe off the exterior of the moka maker. Do not wipe electrical components as this may cause damage to the unit.

5. Dry all parts thoroughly.

6. It is recommended to run your moka maker through one water-only cycle before using it to brew moka espresso. To do so, follow the steps

in "To Brew Moka Espresso" on page 5 but do not add coffee. Allow the moka maker to complete a brewing cycle with water only and discard the

water. The moka maker will then be ready for use.
