Instructions for ATC-400/600/800 Options Upgrade Module
INTRODUCTION
This instruction leaflet applies to the Options Upgrade
Module for the ATC-400, ATC-600 and ATC-800. The
Options Upgrade Module, which is pre-loaded with the
specific upgraded options, performs a one-time options
upgrade to the ATC-400/600/800. The Options
Upgrade Module gets power from the ATC-400/600/800
and needs no other source of power. The Options
Upgrade Module operates over a temperature range of
0°C to 70°C.
INSTALLATION
The ATC-400/600/800 Options Upgrade Module is
designed to be installed, operated and maintained by
adequately trained personnel. Care must be exercised
to comply with local, state and national regulations, as
well as safety practices, for this class of equipment.
NOTICE
Make sure the generator is switched to the OFF
position.
1) If a PONI (Product Operated Network Interface) is
connected to the ATC-400/600/800 at the J13 recepta-
cle, disconnect it at the connector after powering down
the ATC by disconnecting J7 (bottom right hand cormer
looking at the back of the IQ), otherwise just disconnect
J7.
2) Connect the ribbon cable plug from the Options
Upgrade Module to the J13 receptacle on the
ATC400/600/800.
3) Re-apply the ATC control power by reconnecting J7.
OPERATION
After the Options Upgrade Module has been connected
to the ATC-400/600/800, the new options are automati-
cally downloaded to the ATC. The Options Upgrade
Module can only download one set of new options to
any one ATC. After it has performed one download, the
module cannot be used again until it is re-programmed
at the factory. Please return to:
