OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The electric frying pan is designed for fast cooking by frying, stewing and baking in which
the nutritious quality of the food is preserved. The pan bottom is designed to include
directly the pan heating element and the temperature control is integrated in the cord plug.
The temperature control mode is indicated by a pilot lamp. The pan inner surface is lined
with TEFLON. The electric pan glass top is shaped so that it can be used as either the pan
lid or a tray for the cooked food.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, read carefully these Operating Instructions,

study the diagrams and keep the Instructions for future reference.
- Make sure that the rated voltage as indicated on the appliance nameplate is the same as
your mains voltage.
- Make every possible precaution so that the fryer cannot be operated by children
or incompetent persons.
- The product is intended for home use only.
- Never leave the pan unattended while it is plugged in the mains!
- The pan must never be heated by another source of heat such as in a baking oven,
on a hob etc.
- The pan is a portable appliance featuring a cord fitted with a plug designed to
secure that both electric poles can be disconnected. Always disconnect the pan
from the mains when it is not in use.
- Never wash the appliance with the temperature control plugged in it.
- Whenever handling either the pan itself or its lid, use the handle only as other parts
can be very hot!
- The temperature control fitted can be used only for ETA 1160 and 0160 frying pans.
- Never overfill the pan with oil or fat over the „MAX" line.
This appliance must never be used with another temperature control element.
- Before using the pan for the first time, wash any parts that come into contact with food.
- In case of damage to the cord, it is necessary to have it replaced by the manufacturer,
a service shop, or a trained person, to avoid any risk.
II. PREPARING THE PAN FOR COOKING (Figure 1)
1. Place the pan on a suitable flat horizontal surface so that there is nothing around the
pan and plug the temperature control plug in the pan. Turn the Control knob as far as its
stop before degree 1. Plug the cord in the mains.
2. Fill the pan with oil or fat so that its bottom is fully covered with a layer of uniform depth.
3. The desired temperature setting is achieved by rotating the temperature control knob to
a position when the desired setting degree is against the dot. After the set temperature
is achieved the pilot lamp goes off.
4. After cooking, set the control knob back before degree 1, pull the plug out of the wall
outlet and than only unplug the temperature control plug off the pan.
