Ensure JP5 is correctly inserted !
The total resistance of each 12V and ground wire run should be less than 5 ohms. If possible, use
at least 8-core cable and use the extra pair of wires for 12V and ground.
If more than one Door Station is used, connect their 12V and ground wires directly back to
the Comfort control panel. Do not connect in series., as this will increase the resistance
and hence introduce more voltage drop, which may adversely affect the performance of the
unit.
A Ringer Board, part number RGR02 is needed to drive the internal phone ringer whenever
the doorbell is pressed or a Reminder message is programmed.
Connect the 6 wires from the terminal blocks on the Door Station to the Comfort PCB according
to the connection diagram below. The Comfort Panel should not be powered during the Door
Station installation.
After termination of the wires and ID selection, close the Door Station by hooking the top of the
front housing onto the top of the back housing and snapping the bottoms of the top and bottom
mousing together, ensuring that no cables become damaged or trapped in the process. It is
essential that the tamper switch is not fouled by any of the cables.
Remember - Tamper Switch
The tamper switch is shunted out at the factory using JP7. Remove this shunt to activate the
tamper mechanism. To disable the tamper switch prior to disassembly of the door station, enter
the Engineer Test Mode which is menu 8, 6 1 for ON. This allows you to disturb the door Station
tamper switch without any alarms being activated. Engineer Menu 8,6,0. Exits this mode.
Switch on power to the Comfort Panel. A short beep should be heard on the Door Station
followed by "Security Off" after 4 to 6 seconds.

IMPORTANT
Ensure that each Keypad's 12V/COM wires
are connected directly to the Control Panel
and not in series. It is recommended that
8-core cable is used to double-up spare
cores with 12V Aux supply feeds to reduce
voltage drop.
