NOTICE

Slide switches are used in the 427 to select the desired amount of signal

delay. The contacts of these switches are coated with a lubricant to prevent

them from oxidizing. If this lubricant is removed from a portion of the contact,

oxidation may occur. This con result in some difficulty with these switches

making contact properly. This problem can be alleviated by operating the

switch a few times.

If a switch does not moke contact,either the signal will not appear at the output

or it will appear at a reduced amplitude. If this happens, simply operate the

switch a few times to remove the oxide.
