AmbuTrak AMB-1001 Instructies
AmbuTrak is not working or counting anything while using the walker:
1. Make sure sensor is close enough to flat surface of grey clip to "sense" wheel moving
2. Make sure AmbuTrak is set to "398". If this number changes, press and hold both buttons and
adjust number back to "398" using R and L buttons to toggle each number.
AmbuTrak is not calculating correct distance or speed?
1. Make sure AmbuTrak is set to "398", a smaller or larger number will give inaccurate measures
Calibrating your AmbuTrak based on your walker's wheel size:
Press and hold both buttons on computer to reset. Computer will flash for a few seconds.
During this time, set number to "398". "398" is the correct circumference of a standard 2-
wheeled walker with 5'' wheels (this is the wheel size of most standard 2-wheeled walkers). If
your walker wheel is larger or smaller than 5'', you must set the number according to the
circumference of your walker wheel, in millimeters. For example, a 7.5''(diameter) walker wheel,
the circumference is = 191. To convert inches to millimeters, use this formula: (Your walker
wheels inch size) x 25.4. Take this diameter number and convert to circumference. The
conversion from diameter to circumference formula is (diameter)x3.14. So in this case, (191) x
3.14 = 600. Put this number into the AmbuTrak by toggling the right and left buttons. The left
chooses the digit and the right button moves the digit place holder on the screen. Once you
have the number set to where you want, just wait and allow the screen to flash back to the home
screen.
Remember, to customize your ambutrak for accuracy for your specific walker wheel, it requires
two simple formulas
the second.
First: Inches to millimeter formula: (Your walker wheels inch size) x 25.4 =
Example. for 5'' walker wheel: 5'' x 25.4 = 127
Second: Convert your first number (in this case for 5'' walker, 127) using diameter to
circumference formula: (Your first number) x 3.14 =
Example for 5'' walker wheel: 127 x 3.14 = 398
398
is what you would set on the AmubTrak for a 5'' walker wheel.
