6.5 Lifting
1) Never use Lifting Slings with lighter/lower capacity than the load being lifted. Always check for
any damages/deformations on Lifting Slings before use. Always consider lifting angels and lifting
mode when selecting slings.
2) To lift load safely, Lifting Sling with proper length and capacity should be used. Use Lifting Slings
that have sufficient load capacity for every operation.
3) Never suspend more than one load on a single hook.
4) Do not place any parts of the body (i.e. hands, fingers) inside the hook.
5) Do not force hook into place by thrashing or hammering.
6) The load (or rope/wire/sling) must be properly suspended in the saddle of the hook. If load or
sling is placed incorrectly, a dangerous situation may arise resulting in sling break causing load to
drop.
7) Never suspend the load or sling on the tip of the hook.
8) Always balance your lift. Ropes/Wires/Slings must not be tangled, slanted or twisted.
9) Never use the hoist as support or fixture.
10) Change the Lifting Sling if the Safety Latch does not close due to its (Lifting Sling) thickness.
11) When the angle of 2 Lifting Slings (or ropes) gets excessively wide (as they are suspended on a
hook), there are possibilities of the Lifting Slings falling off or breaking as the weight (applied
on Lifting Slings) gets bigger. For a safe operation, change the loading method or change the
Lifting Slings to longer one. When suspending load, the angle of sling (rope) should be less than
60°.
12) Never wind up the Load Chain around the load. It is dangerous because Load Chain has
weak horizontal pulling strength.
