Optical System

4.2 Lens Recommendations

4.2.1 Corner Shading / Lens Shading

ATOM one is a 2/3" sensor class camera, but the pixels are ~6% larger than on
other cameras in the market. This leads to 6% more sensitivity and 6% more
field of view compared to other cameras. The projection circle is 13mm instead
of 11mm.
For this reason not all 2/3" optics will work on the ATOM one. This can be seen
as shading in the corners. Our tests have shown, that most 2/3" optics are
working fine, but you should perform tests before operation.
For wide angles 1" lenses are required due to the large sensor area.
To some degree shaded corners (not black) can be corrected with the camera
in-build lens shading correction functions.

4.2.2 Resolution

For maximum details we recommend 5M pixel C-mount lenses. These will give
best performance up to the outer corners. In many cases 2M pixel will also give
full resolution.
1M pixel CCTV lenses are not recommended for ATOM one.

4.3 Recommended lenses
