To change chisels
Disconnect the pneumatic hose from the valve. Pull the holder ring (position no. 29) back. With the other hand, take the
chisel out of the chisel holder. Make sure no dirt is in the chisel holder when using the new chisel.
General Hits
Use the tool on a firm , stead surface; try not to let it run free of a working surface. Bear always in mind that it is the tool
which does the work. There is NO NEED for the operator to APPLY and WEIGHT OR HEAVY PRESSURE to the tool
when working. In winter time it is a good idea to use warm air. Otherwise there is always a danger of icing up.
Safety Rules for Pneumatic Tools
• Read all the instructions before using the tool. All operators must be fully trained in its use and aware of these safety
rules.
• Do not exceed the maximum working air pressure.
• Use personal safety equipment.
• Use only compressed air at the recommended conditions.
• If the tool appears to malfunction STOP USING IT immediately and arrange for service or repair.
• Do always wear glasses, ear protection and gloves for your own security.
• If the tools is used with a balancer of other support device ensure that it is fixed securely.
• Always keep hands away from the working attachment fitted to the tool ( chisels, bushhammer heads).
• The tool is not ELECTRICALLY INSULATED. Never use the tool if there is any chance of it coming into contact with live
electricity.
• Always when using the tool get a firm footing and grip the fool firmly to be able to counteract and forces or percussive
forces that may be generated whilst using the tool.
• Use only correct spare parts. Do not improvise or make temporary repairs.
• Do not lock tape wire, etc. the on/off valve in the run position. The trigger/level etc. must always be free to return to the
"off" position when it is released.
• Always shut off the air supply to the air tool and depress the trigger/level to exhaust air form the feed hose before fitting,
adjusting or removing the working attachment.
• Check hose and fittings regularly for wear. Replace if necessary. Do not carry the tool by its hose and ensure the hand
is always from the on/off control when carrying the tool with the air supply connected.
• Take care against catching any moving parts of the tool with clothing, ties, hair, cleaning rags etc. This will cause the
body to be drawn towards the tool an can be very dangerous.
• It is the users responsibility to adopt safe working practices and observe all relevant legal requirement when installing,
using or maintaining the tool.
• Do no install the tool unless an easily accessible and operable on/off valve is incorporated in the air supply.
• Take care that the tool exhaust air dies not cause a problem or blows on another person.
• Do not attempt any repair yourselves. If the tool does not give satisfaction, return it to the nearest service agent.
• Do not remove any guard or protection devices.
Guarantee
We grant a 6 month guarantee on the products commencing on the date of purchase. The guarantee will cover any
defects in the product resulting from faults in material or workmanship. We will either repair or exchange parts or
exchange the whole product as we may choose.
Not covered by this guarantee:
• Normal wear and defects which have a negligible effect on the value or operation of the product
• Damage arising form improper use (operation with incorrect air pressure, improper handling, lack of lubrication /
greasing / corrosion
The guarantee becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons and if original parts are not used.
Service under the guarantee does not affect the expiry date of the guarantee.
Foreseen use of the tool
This pneumatic hammer is designed for all technical tasks:
• Removing of plaster and coatings, roughening of concrete surfaces (scabbling)
• Cleaning dirty surfaces, removing of paint residues
• General removing of coatings, glue residues, tiles, rubber, parquet etc.
Do not use any other spare parts than original AIRTEC manufacture. Do not modify this tool for other use before
checking the intended alternative use with the manufacturer or his agent.
