Preheating
cups
Preheating the cups and the porta filter will ensure a higher coffee temperature for
your enjoyment.
Plug the appliance into the mains supply and press the ON button. The blue
heating light will illuminate.
Insert the chosen filter sieve (1 or 2 cups) into the porta filter, but do not
insert any coffee into the porta filter.
Insert the porta filter into the boiler outlet and place one or two cups
underneath.

Once the operating temperature has been reached, the heating light will
turn off and the hot water will flow from the boiler outlet.
When the cups are 3/4 full of hot water, turn the operating dial back to
neutral to switch off the pump.
Allow the cups to warm up, and then discard the water. Alternatively, place
the cups on the warming area to preheat them.
Adding coffee
Please note, this appliance takes 44mm ESE pods.
Ensure the coffee is ground before inserting into the porta filter.
Remove the preheated porta filter by the handle.
Add the appropriate amount of coffee using the measuring spoon.

2 cups—2 level scoops

Using the measuring spoon supplied, press down the coffee lightly with the
tamp. Wipe away any excess coffee from the rim of the porta filter.
