Important
Do not use a steam cleaner to defrost
or clean the refrigerator. The steam
could come into contact with live
components and cause a short circuit
or electric shock. Steam could also
damage the plastic parts of the
appliance.
Do not use cleaning agents that contain
scouring powder or acid based solvents.
The water used for cleaning must not be
allowed to penetrate the temperature
selector or interior light Fig. 2.
Clean the drainage channel and outlet
hole Fig. 3 at regular intervals so that
thawed water can flow out freely.
Clean the drainage channel with a cotton
bud or similar item.
The water used for cleaning must not be
allowed to pass out through the drainage
hole and into the evaporator tray.
Do not clean the shelves and storage
racks in a dishwasher. They could be
deformed!
If appliances feature a ventilation grille in
the base, the panel can be removed for
cleaning. To do this, depress the clips in
the ventilation slots and simultaneously
remove the base panel forwards. Fig. w

Tips for saving energy
S Install the appliance in a dry, well
ventilated room, but not in direct
sunlight and not near a heat source
(e.g. radiator, cooker, etc.). If required,
use an insulating plate.
S Allow warm food and drinks to cool
down before placing in the appliance!
S When thawing frozen products, place
them in the refrigerator. The low
temperature of the frozen products
cools the food in the refrigerator.
S Open and close the door as briefly
as possible.
