1. Press and release the tab on the top of the CD compartment cover to open it (Figure 7).
2. Insert a CD, label side up, into the player.
3. Push the cover down to close it.
4. Press CD if the CD source is not selected. The system turns on and starts to play the CD.
CD source information is displayed (Figure 8).
Note: –NO DISC– appears on the display if you press CD when there is no disc in the disc
player.

While a track is playing:
• Press Play/Pause to pause a CD. The elapsed time and the CD PAUSED indicator flashes
on the display (Figure 9). Press Play/Pause again to resume play.
• Press Seek/Track
once to skip to the beginning of the current track. Press again
within three seconds to skip to the beginning of the previous track.
• Press Seek/Track
once to skip to the next track.
• Press and hold Tune/MP3 < or Tune/MP3 > to quickly scan backward or forward through
a track.
• Press Stop to stop a CD.

Note: Because a CD spins at high speeds in the player, be sure to press the stop button before
removing a CD.
Note: When the system is left in the CD source, the system automatically turns off after 24 hours
with no user activity.
