DESCRIPTION
This is an optical smoke detector. These are particularly sensitive to
detecting visible microparticles (which arise from smoldering fires)
and react faster than ionization smoke detectors. An example of such
smoldering fires is a burning cigarette on a couch or bed, a common
cause of devastating fires. Please note that this device does not detect
flames, temperature/heat, carbon monoxide or other dangerous
gases. The smoke detector has many advanced features and a long
service life with the fixed battery.
RECOMMENDED LOCATIONS FOR SMOKE
DETECTORS
1. Your smoke detector is suitable for the landing, hall, bedroom, living
room and dining room.
2. Install it in the stairwell and on each floor.
3. Smoke, heat and burning things spread horizontally after rising to
the ceiling, so install the alarm in the middle of the ceiling of a
standard built house.
4. If for some reason the alarm cannot be installed in the middle of the
ceiling, the distance from the smoke detector to the wall should be at
least 30 cm (see Figure 1).
5. If the length of the room or hall is more than 10 meters, you need to
install several alarms there.
6. If the ceiling slopes, the smoke detector should be installed at least
50 cm from the highest ceiling point in the room (see Figure 2).
Attention: This smoke detector is also suitable for installation in
caravans, motor homes and mobile homes.

LOCATIONS TO AVOID
1. Avoid the environment of appliances or places where normal
combustion regularly takes place (such as in kitchens, near stoves,
hot water boilers, etc.). Use specialized smoke detectors, such as
temperature detectors, for these areas to prevent unwanted alarms.
2. Keep at least 3 meters away from rooms with high humidity, such as
bathrooms or rooms near dishwashers or washing machines.
3. Keep a minimum distance of 1 meter from air vents or ventilation
openings for heating and cooling. The air can blow away/suck away
smoke from the detector, preventing the detector from sounding the
alarm (in time).
4. Avoid areas where the temperature may fall below 5°C or above
40°C.
Thank you for purchasing our smoke
detector. Take a few minutes to read the
user manual thoroughly and
familiarize yourself and your family
with how the smoke detector works.
And save it for future reference.

5. Avoid extremely dusty or dirty environments. The dust particles
prevent the detector from functioning properly.
6. Also avoid the airflow of (loose) air conditioning units and fans.
ACTIVATE:
Press and hold the test button for about 3 seconds until the LED lights
up. Then release the test button within about 2 seconds. The smoke
detector gives a beep signal to indicate that it is activated and enters
the working state.
INSTALLATION:
WARNING: To prevent injury, the smoke detector must be securely
attached to the ceiling, as described below.

OPERATION AND TESTING:
Testing
Press the test button. If the detector works correctly, the alarm will go
off. If the alarm does not go off, the battery is empty or the smoke
detector is defective.
DO NOT USE an open flame to test your detector! You can use this to
damage the detector or cause a fire.
NOTE: Test the smoke detector every week!
Resting state:
The red LED flashes 1 time every 48 seconds to indicate that the
smoke detector is active.
Alarm state:
When the detector detects combustion products, it gives a sound
alarm and the red LED flashes once every second. The sound alarm
and the flashing LED continue until the air is clean again.
Low battery voltage:
IMPORTANT: For the smoke detector to function correctly, the battery
voltage must be sufficient. If the battery voltage becomes too low, the
detector will sound a beep every 48 seconds, with the LED flashing 1x.
When you hear this, you should immediately install a new smoke
detector.
The smoke detector will warn of a low battery voltage for at least 30
days.
If you do not install a new detector in time, the smoke detector may not
receive enough voltage to alert you in a real fire situation.
Fault notication:
The detector beeps every 48 seconds.
Alarm pause
If the smoke detector is in alarm you can press the test button, the
alarm signal (beeps) is then silent for about 8 minutes. The red LED
continues to flash every 8 seconds, as an indication that the
detector is on Alarm pause.
