FILLING AND BLEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
DO NOT CYCLE TOOL WITHOUT AIR BLEEDER, OR THE SCREW AND STAT-O-SEAL, INSTALLED IN TOOL HEAD.
NOTE:
Fill bottle assy (745163) is required.
SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY MAY RESULT.
WARNING:
Do not cycle tool without fill bottle assy (745163), or the button head screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572), installed in

BEFORE FILLING HANDLE, AIR PISTON SHOULD BE ALL THE WAY DOWN.

WHEN FORCING PISTON ROD ASSEMBLY DOWNWARD WITH HEAD CYLINDER ASSEMBLY REMOVED,
HYDRAULIC FLUID WILL EJECT FORCIBLY FROM HANDLE.
CAUTION:
When forcing piston rod assy (730233) downward, with head cylinder assy (730398) removed, hydraulic oil will
eject forcibly from handle assy (704132).
To replace a small amount of oil in the tool follow steps 19 and 20 below.
CAUTION:
Use CAUTION when removing screws and fill bottle assy (745163). Hydraulic oil may be under pressure.
Should it become necessary to completely refill the tool (as would be required after tool has been dismantled and reassembled), take

2. Fill power cylinder and oil passage to the top.

11. Cycle tool 10 times holding trigger down for 5 seconds between cycles.
12. Remove 4oz. bottle assy. (745163), replace screw and stat-o-seal.

13. Cycle tool 5-6 times and check stroke of .500 (see below), We recommend using a pair of dial calipers. With the trigger released,
check dimension (A). Holding trigger down check dimension (B). Subtract dimension (A) from dimension (B). If stroke is not

20. Cycle 10 times, remove 4oz. bottle assy. (745163), replace screw and stat-o-seal.
8. Squeeze fill bottle assy (745163) gently until no air rises in the bottle.
21. Repeat step 13.
9. Connect tool to air supply. Piston (730311) will then move to forward position. (DIM "A"). Cycle tool ten times.

13. Remove fill bottle assy (745163) and replace rear button head cap screw (402482) and stat-o-seal (S572) from top of head cylinder
(730398) and torque 35-40 inch lbs.
14. Connect tool to air supply and cycle tool ten times.
15. Check stroke of .500" (12.7 mm) (see below). We recommend using dial calipers. With the actuator lever assy (704343) released
check dimension (A). Holding actuator lever assy (704343) in, check dimension (B). Subtract dimension (A) from dimension (B). If
stroke is not consistent within 1/64" (.0156) repeat steps 6-14.
