To Unlock Openers:

1) Position the opener lock handles (1) in FIELD posi-

tion (3).

2) Raise the openers completely to release the spring

loaded locks.

3) Lower the openers.

How To Set Opener Hydraulic Down Pressure:

Note: The following information assumes the tractor is

either a closed center and/or load sensing system.

Open center tractors can not be ran in continuous

flow (see Open Center Hydraulic Instructions on pg.

6).

1) Turn the locking disk (1) counterclockwise to

enable adjustment.

2) Initially close the bypass valve for no oil flow by

turning the adjustment knob (2) completely clockwise.

Note: Turn the adjustment knob counterclockwise to

increase flow and clockwise to decrease flow. Turn it

fully clockwise to stop all bypass flow.

3) With the tractor at half throttle, adjust the flow-con-

trol valve on the tractor so the openers raise and

lower at a reasonable speed. Keep the tractor at half

throttle for the remaining steps.

4) Engage the tractor hydraulics and lower the open-

ers. Lock the hydraulic lever on the tractor for continu-

ous operation.

5) Release the locking disks (3) on the down-pressure

valves.

6) Turn the adjustment knobs (4) on the down-pres-

sure valves so the gauges are at 1800 psi (2100 psi

for heavy duty drills).

7) While watching the gauges on the drill, slowly

adjust the knob on the bypass valve counterclock-

wise. Adjust the bypass valve just until the needles on

the gauges begin to move down.

8) Lock the bypass valve at this setting.

9) Readjust the down-pressure valves on the drill to

the desired opener down pressure.
