Step 4 – Ducts

Refer to drawings on page "Step 4" for basic build.

Ducting and the art of ZEN!

1. Groove the inside of the ducts to allow them to roll.

2. Tape up ducts on the outside to stop cracking.

3. Roll to approx shape and tape to shape. Glue on the bottom of the

duct, either leave over night or use warm water to form.

4. Notch rear of duct to accept the taileron mount and cross piece. You

will have to fiddle with this piece and it is quite tricky to get the right

shape, so take a little time over this. You may also have to sand using

a block to get nice snug fitment.

5. Once happy that it all fits ok, remember that the ducts are handed,

longest part of ducts go to the centre of the plane.

6. Glue the ducts into place, again using pins and tape, leave to set.
