DESCRIPTION
The safety brake is a safety device for rolling shutters without springs performing two
functions:
1. a bearing support for the shutter shaft;
2. a mechanical brake to stop the descent of the shutter if sudden acceleration occurs.
GAPOSA offers a selection of 9 safety brakes for roller shutters, each one with a different
torque. The safety brake, made up of anti-oxidation materials, consists of a central body
with a hole in which the rolling shutter shaft is inserted, and is supported by a metal
base. Between the central body and the base you find rubber bearings with a density apt
to compensate any eccentricity of the system.
The GAPOSA safety brake is equipped with a patented shock-absorber system and a
micro-switch to disconnect the electrical supply to the gear motor when the brake locks.
