CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Storage
Between uses or during periods of extended inactivity:
1. Turn Control Knob OFF.
2. Disconnect LP cylinder and move to a secure, well-location outdoors.
3. Store heater upright in an area sheltered from direct contact with inclement weather (such as
rain, sleet, hail, snow, dust and debris). Note: Never leave LP-gas tank exposed to direct
sunlight or excessive heat.
4.
If desired, use the cover (L) to protect the heater and help prevent buildup in air passages.
CAUTION: Wait until heater is cool before covering.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Burner doesn't stay
lit.
Burner doesn't light.
Note: Heater
operates at reduced
efficiency below
40°F.
Burner flame is low.
Carbon buildup.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1.
Thermocouple and tilt switch
breakdown.
1. Gas pressure is low.
2. Blockage in orifice
3. Blockage in venturi tube.
4.
Distance between the igniter pin
and thermocouple is improper.
5.
No sparks appear when lighting.
1. Outdoor temperature is less than
40°F and cylinder is less than 1/4
full.
2. Control knob is not fully "ON" or
there is a blockage.

Dirt or film on reflector and
emitter.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Repeat depressing and rotating
the knob, hold control knob in
for at least 30 seconds and
release.
2.
If the burner doesn't stay lit yet,
contact customer service at
1 800 643 0067, 8 a.m.
8 p.m., EST, Monday
Friday.
