How to change your PIN code:
The PIN code has 63000 possible combinations. To set a new code:
1. Open the drivers door then turn the ignition on.
2. Push the top button on the remote 10 times.
3. Turn the ignition off. The indicators will flash once to indicate you have entered
PIN entry mode.
4. Turn the ignition on then off anywhere from 3 to 255 times. i.e. 11 times. You
have now set the first PIN code digit.
5. Wait for the indicators to flash once.
6. Now turn the ignition on then off anywhere from 3 to 255 times. i.e. 36 times. You
have now set the second PIN code digit.
7. Wait for the indicators to flash once.
8. You have now set the PIN from the factory setting of (3)(4) to (11)(36).
9. Make sure you remember the new PIN code!
Learning new remotes:
To program new remotes into the system follow the procedure below:
1.
Turn ignition on.
2.
Immediately press and hold the top button on the original remote until the
indicators start flashing (approx. 4 seconds) and then release the button.
3.
Immediately press and hold the top button on the new remote for at least 4
seconds.
4.
Turn the ignition off. The new remote is now coded in.
Battery Backup Siren (optional upgrade):
The AVS 4601 can be fitted with an optional battery backup siren. This siren has a built-
in battery which keeps itself charged from the vehicle's power source. If the wires to the
siren are cut or the car battery disconnected by a car thief the siren will continue to
sound. The battery backup siren is supplied with two keys for the key switch on the top of
the siren. If you need to disconnect your vehicle's battery the siren will need to be turned
off with the key switch. Remember to turn it back on when the battery is reconnected!
Interior Piezo Siren (optional upgrade):
An internal piezo siren can be fitted in the cabin of the vehicle to deter thieves from
entering the vehicle when the alarm is triggered.
WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE ANIMALS OR CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE IF THIS
OPTION IS FITTED.
Shock Sensor (optional upgrade):
A shock sensor will detect shocks to the vehicle such as a window impact. The shock
sensor is not designed to detect the car being rocked or the tyre being kicked.
Ultrasonic Motion Sensor (optional upgrade):
Ultrasonic motion sensors detect air movement inside the vehicle. If a window is broken
or the sensor detects any movement inside the car the alarm will be triggered.
NOTE: As an ultrasonic sensor detects air movement be sure to close all the windows
and the sunroof when arming the system or it may false alarm.
