If the cooker hood is connected for

recirculation, two charcoal filters must

be inserted in addition to the grease

filter. Charcoal filters absorb normal

kitchen odours.

They are fitted in the canopy above the

grease filter.

Charcoal filters can be obtained from

your dealer or the Miele Spare Parts

Department.

See back cover for contact details,

and "Technical data" for type and

reference number.

^ Before fitting or replacing the

charcoal filters, the grease filter must

first be taken out, (see previous

section for instructions on how to do

this).

^ Unwrap the charcoal filters.

^ Remove the old filters and replace

with the new ones as illustrated.

^ Replace the grease filter.

When fitting for the first time:

^ Set the operating hours counter to

suit your requirements, (see

"Operation - Filter operating hours

counter").

Always replace the filters immediately if

the lamp for the charcoal filter touch

control comes on, or if they are no

longer effective in absorbing kitchen

odours.

They should, however, be replaced at

least every 6 months.

^ After fitting a new charcoal filter,

press the charcoal filter touch control

for approx. 3 seconds to re-set the

operating hours counter.

The indicator lamp will go out.

^ If the charcoal filters are replaced

before the operating hours counter

has reached its maximum, the

charcoal filter touch control should be

pressed for approx. 6 seconds to

reset the counter.
