~
Protect your hands when working
around the hot wok - wear
heat-resistant oven mitts and use
potholders, etc. Use only dry
potholders, make sure they are not
damp or wet, as this causes heat to
transfer through the material more
quickly with the risk of scalding or
burning yourself.
~
Never flambé food under an exhaust
hood. The flames can set fire to the
exhaust hood.
~
Do not use the induction wok as a
storage surface.
Above all, do not place any knives,
forks, spoons, etc., or other metallic
objects on it. If the wok is on or
accidentally turned on or there is
residual heat, metallic objects can heat
up and cause burns.
Other items may melt or catch fire.
Always turn the wok off after use!
~
Installation of several units
Do not place hot pots or pans on the
spacing strips because they could
damage the seal of the spacing strip.
~
Do not cover the wok, for example,
with a cover, a cloth or protective film. If
the wok is turned on by mistake or there
is residual heat there is a danger that
the material ignites, explodes or melts.
~
Keep the wok clean. Grains of salt,
sugar or sand (for example, from
cleaning vegetables) can cause
scratches.
Warning and safety instructions
~
NEVER place hot pots or pans near
the display. That could damage the
electronic unit underneath.
~
Be careful that no objects or
cookware fall onto the ceramic surface.
Even a light object, such as a salt
shaker, can cause cracks and chips in
the ceramic surface.
~
If you use an electric small
appliance, such as a hand mixer, in the
vicinity of the wok, make sure that the
power cord does not come into contact
with the hot wok. This could damage
the insulation on the cord. Danger of
electric shock.
~
If sugar, sugary foods, plastic, or
aluminum foil fall onto the hot wok, turn
the appliance off. Remove these
materials immediately while they are
still hot, because if allowed to cool they
will damage the ceramic surface.
Take care not to burn yourself.
Clean the appliance when it has cooled
down.
~
The wok is equipped with a cooling
fan. If there is a drawer directly
underneath the appliance, ensure that
there is sufficient space between the
drawer and its contents and the
underside of the appliance to ensure
adequate ventilation. Sharp or small
objects and paper may not be kept in
the drawer. These can penetrate or be
sucked into the housing through the
vents and damage the fan or impair
cooling.
