Hardware Installation - Optional Connections
The Optional Connection includes the use of the
GPIO Connector Cable for Alarm and/or PTZ
Control.
1. Connect the GPIO Connector Cable to the
GPIO Port located to the left of the Ethernet
Cable Connection. Run it through the
waterproof cable screw that is not used by the
Ethernet cable.
The exposed GPIO wires are color coded.
Please see Hardware Manual Appendix #2 for
Alarm Block connections.
Replacing the Backplate & Waterproof Sealing
Screws
1. Reconnect the Waterproof screw. All connected
wires will need to pass through the opening in
this screw.
NOTE: The waterproof cable screw used to run the
Ethernet cable through does not offer extra space,
therefore any other connections should go through
the 2nd waterproof cable screw.
2. Once all wires have passed through the
opening, tighten the screw to hold the wires
securely in place. This will also provide a water
tight seal, preventing moisture from entering the
camera through the cable opening.
3. Replace the back panel, and tighten the 4
securing screws.
