Placing and receiving calls

PLACE A CALL
Use any of the following approaches to place a call:
>
Lift the handset and enter a number
>
Press an (unlit) Line button
>
Press the New Call soft key
>
Press the (unlit) Headset button or Speakerphone button
REDIAL THE LAST NUMBER
>
Press the Redial soft key
ANSWER A CALL
Use any of the following approaches to answer a call:
>
Lift the handset
>
Press the flashing Line button on the right side
>
Press the Answer soft key
>
Press the (unlit) Headset or Speakerphone button
CALL WAITING
If you are on an active call and another call comes through:
>
Press the flashing Line key to answer the incoming call.
The original call will automatically be placed on hold,
and you will be able to speak to the new caller
>
To end the new call, press the End Call soft key and to
resume the original call, press the Resume soft key
If you want to end the original call once you have
answered a new call:
>
Place the new call on hold using the Hold button
>
Select the original call using the Navigation pad

Press the Resume soft key and speak to the person
>
You can now press the End Call soft key, and resume
the new call
HOLD
>
Press the Hold button. The hold icon displays and the
line button pulses green
>
To resume the highlighted call, press the pulsing green
Line button or the Resume soft key
Note: pressing the Hold button again does not resume a
call from hold.
END A CALL
To end a call, use one of the following steps:
>
Replace the handset
>
Press the End Call soft key
>
Press the lit Speakerphone or Headset button
MUTE A CALL
During a call, press the Mute button. The button glows
to indicate Mute is on. Press Mute again.
