RECORDING
AS.E.S. (Auto Synchro Editing System}
For automatic recording of a CD to a cassette tape.
1 Load the CD.
When programming is performed, tracks will be played in
the programmed order.
2 Load the tape for recording into Deck Il.
Recording should begin in the forward direction (

3 Set the REVERSE MODE switch.

To record on both sides of a tape.
4 Set the DOLBY NR switch to the desired
position.
5 Press ASES (FADE or DISCO).
FADE:
fade-out occurs at the tape end.
DISCO: Cross-fade* occurs between tracks and fade-out
occurs at the tape end.
*Cross-fade:

The end of the track being faded out is overlapped with the
beginning of the next track being faded in.
When the track playing time is less than 1 minute, the
cross-fade operation may not be carried out properly.

A, B: Indicates the side of the tape.
1-5: indicates the number of the track.

Indicates the leader part of the tape.

When recording on both sides, and the tape ends in the
middle of a track in the forward ( » ) direction, recording
starts from the beginning of the track when it continues in
the reverse ( 4) direction.

A10-second blenkis recorded at the beginning of the tape.
To stop A.S.E.S. during recording:
Press Deck il's STOP button or press the CD STOP button.
® To resume recording with A.S.E.S.
When the unit finishes A.S.E.S., another CD can be recorded
with A.S.E.S. from that point
Perform steps + through 4. When you want to change to
another CD, press REC PAUSE (@ H) and then ASES (DISCO
or FADE}.
e@ Pressing FADE starts recording withouta 10-second biank.
Pressing DISCO rewinds the tape at the normal playback
speed for about 20 seconds
and starts recording with
cross-fade.
