Switching

unsuitable in your area (ifyou can't tune into stations
successfully),you can change the tuning inte_al to
9klIzfbr AM.lIere's howto switchthe setting.
Switch the system into standby.

SETUP.
Press the 41 or I_ button until you see AM
STEP in the display.
Use the • and • buttons to select 9kHz
or lOkHz.
• Whenset to 9kllz, the FMtuning inte_al becomes
50kHz.This should not _fect luning into FMstations.

Disc lens cleaner
The disc pickup lens shoukt not become dirty in normal
use, but if forsome reason it should malfunction due to
dirt or dust, consult your nearcst Pioneer authorized

commercially available,wedo not recommend using
them since some may d_lage the lens.
Taking care of your
discs
Whenholding discs, t akecarenot to leavefingeq_rints,
dirt or scratches on the discsurface. IMd the discby its
edge or by the center hole and edge.Dmnaged or dirly
discs ca1 gfect playbackperformance. 'rakecare also
not 1oscratch lhe label side ofthe disc. Although not as
fragile as the recordedside, scratches cml still result in a
discbecoming unusable.
Should a disc become marked with fingerprints, dust,
etc., clean using a soft, dL'y cloth,wiping the disc lightly
from the center 1othe outside edge as shown on the next
page. If necessa_,,use a cloth soakad in alcohol, or a
commercially availableCDor DVDcleaning kit m clean
a disc mote thomughl}cNeveruse benzine, thinner or
other cleaning agents, including products designed for
clemaingvinylrecords.
• Wipelightly from the cenler of the disc using
straight strokes.
• Don't wipe lhe discsurface using circular stmkes.
