(Use tuner for timer setting.)
* Acompact disc, cassette deck, or a radio broadcast can be used in-
stead of an alarm clock.
© The current settings will appear again at the time set with the timer.
@ Timer playback begins everyday at the same time as long as the
timer playback mode is not turned off.
® During timer playback, to receive a desired station, first program
the channel frequency into STATION CALL button, and perform sta-
tion call before setting the timer. If you do not de this, LAST is dis-
played in the display section, and you will return to the station you
were previously listening to.
Tape playback:
® Timer playback is possible with a cassette tape loaded in Deck I.
Compact disc playback:
® The disc is played from the beginning when the timer turns the
power on.

Set after switching power ON.
Setting WAKE-UP 1 to receive FM 103.00 MHz (9 CH) between 7:15
and 8:00.
(Use the same procedure when using WAKE-UP 2)
1. Tune into FIM 103.00 MHz (9 CH) with STATION CALL.
2. Press SET button and then (within 5 seconds) press WAKE-UP
1 button.
3, Use TUNING/TIMER "~~" (DOWN) and "+" (UP) buttons to set
the wake up hour and minutes.
4, Press SET button.
® When you press the SET button, the time after one hour is dis-
played in the display section (inthis case, 8:15}.
To leave the OFF time as it is, press the SET button. To change
the OFF time, perform the following procedure.
5. Use TUNING/TIMER "—" (DOWN) and "+" (UP) buttons to set
the turn off hour and minutes.
6. Press SET button.

NOTE:
When timer playback operates, if the specified settings make play-
back impossible (there's no CD in the disc tray, no cassette tape is
loaded, the TUNED indicator isn'tlitat the tuned frequency), the input
selector searches CD, TAPE, and TUNER, and automatically switches
to a source that provides sound.

Turning timer on and off
After inputting the timer settings, check the tuner display
