SKIP SEARCH
During normal playback, if the >
marked end of the but-
ton is pressed, the player will search for the beginning of
the next track on the disc, and if the 4
marked end of the
button is pressed, the player will search for the beginning
of the presently playing track.
if skip search is performed from the pause mode, the player
will return to the pause mode after performing the search.
The numeric display will indicate the track number of the
track being searched.
If the button is pressed repeatedly, you can skip over any
number of tracks to find a particular track. Operate the ap-
propriate end of the button until the desired track number
appears in the display.
SINGLE-TRACK
REPEAT
PLAY
(TRK. REPEAT)
During disc playback press the TRK. button. The track cur-
rently playing at the time the button is pressed will be played
repeatedly.
When single-track repeat is initiated, the front panel TRACK
REPEAT indicator will light.
NOTE:
Be sure to press the TRK. button only after confirming that the
desired track has begun playing.
When performing single-track
playback of the first track on a disc, do not press the TRK. button
while the PLAY indicator is flashing, since the desired track will not
be detected and the repeat function will not operate properly.
INTERVAL REPEAT PLAY (A—B REPEAT)
This function allows you to perform repeat playback of an in-
terval between any two desired points within the entire disc
program.
[Procedures]
1. At the point at which you wish repeat play to begin,
press the REPEAT [A] button.
2. At the point at which you wish repeat play to end,
press the REPEAT [B] button.
When button [B] is pressed, the player will begin searching for
the point (track number, minutes, seconds) at which button
[A] was pressed and begin playback from that point.
When the disc has played to the point (track number, minutes,
seconds) at which button [B] was pressed, the player will once
again search for point [A] and repeat playback in the same
way.
When
interval repeat play is begun, the front panel A—B
REPEAT indicator will light.
TO PERFORM
REPEAT PLAY OF
ALL TRACKS ON A DISC
To play all tracks on one side of a disc repeatedly, set the'
front panel AUTO
REPEAT switch to ON. For details, see
page 21.

NOTE:

When performing search in the reverse direction, be sure to
note the number of times the button must be pressed. When
the <4 button is pressed once, the pickup will return to the
start of the presently playing track; when pressed a second
time, the pickup will return to the beginning of the previous
track.
/f the search operation is performed past the last track on the
disc, the pickup will return to the first track on the disc.
When you wish to designate a specific track number for
playback, see the section "TRACK SEARCH" on page
31.
CANCELLING SINGLE-TRACK REPEAT
Press the (@MZNR button. The TRACK
REPEAT indicator
will go out, and when the currently playing track finishes
playing, the player will move to the next track.
