Module programming

Refer to "LED diagnostics and troubleshooting" on page 14 for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.

To connect the module:

Please ensure that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during

programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift

lever is in the neutral position.

Connect all the harnesses to the Directed Digital Solutions, EXCEPT the 12-pin main power

harness.

Connect the 12-pin main power harness, and wait until the LED turns ON solid red.

Remove the battery from the factory keyless remote.

To use this firmware as convenience only, you cans skip the bypass by pressing the

programming button 5 times.

Use the tip of the remote to press on the Start/Stop button (PTS) twice to turn the ignition

ON ("RUN" illuminates on Start/Stop switch). The LED will turn ON solid green for 3

seconds (or solid orange for 3 seconds if bypass was skipped) then will turn OFF.

Press on the Start/Stop button (PTS) once more to turn the ignition OFF when the module is

successfully programmed.

Pair remotes (if applicable). For information on how to pair a specific remote, please

refer to its corresponding owner documentation, which can be found inside the product

packaging of the complete system or on www.directechs.com.*

DATA Tach: Firmware using DATA Tach, the tachometer is preprogrammed for the vehicle

and no further action is required. For instructions on how to adjust the tach or use Virtual

tach, refer to page 17.

Hardwire Tach: Firmware using the Violet/White Hardwired Tach input will require

programming. For instructions on how to program or adjust the tach or use Virtual tach, refer

to page 17.
