Safety
•
Note: When hot, the fan should always be lifted by
the handle to prevent the risk of burns.
•
Keep the product out of children's reach.
•
Remove the fan from the stove if temperatures exceed
345 °C. Higher temperatures will damage the fan.
Using a stovetop thermometer is recommended for
monitoring the temperature.
•
Never touch the fan while it is in operation, if it needs
moving, use the handle.
Operating instructions
Operational description
The fan is powered using a Seebeck element. This element is
several millimetres thick and sits between the base and upper
fan body. Electricity is created when one side of the element
is heated whilst the other side is cooled. Voltage increases in
correlation with the increased temperature differences created
between the two sides. Therefore, placing the fan base on
the hottest spot possible, without exceeding the temperature
range of the base will give the best effect (Note: Do not exceed
the maximum temperature). Also, ensure that there is an ample
supply of cold air behind the fan when positioning it to ensure
maximum performance.

Placement
•
For optimum effect, place the fan near the back of
the stove. This allows cold air to flow from behind the fan.
Do not place the fan in front of the chimney flue. Doing so
will cause hot air to build up behind the fan and decrease its
performance.
•
The stovetop temperature may vary, so experiment to find
the best position. Use the aid of a thermometer (stove or
other heat-resistant stove thermometer) to find the best
placement.
Starting the fan
•
You can help start the fan in motion by gently rotating
the blade clockwise.
•
If your stove is not very hot, it can take a while for the fan
to start rotating. You could wait until the stove has reached
a high enough temperature to rotate the fan before placing
the fan on top of the stove.
Care and maintenance
•
Do not use artificial means to hasten cooling after use (such
as by cooling it with water), allow it cool slowly.
•
Always let the fan cool before cleaning it.
•
Clean the product using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only
mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
•
Bent fan blade? Should for some reason the fan blade
become a little bent, it is okay to bend it back into shape
by hand.
