Introduction:

Just because you drive an older car does not mean you have to settle for old

technology. If your older Porsche 911, 944, 964, 968, 993 has the optional CDC-1

or CDC-2 CD changer and seeking the ability to stream music.

The A2D-CR12 is for you. The A2D-CR12 music steaming adapter allows vehicles

with optional CDC-1 or CDC-2 CD changers to remain connected and functional

which means users can still play their CD's in addition to stream music from

Smartphone, Kindle, and Tablet etc. This adapter works only if vehicle has a

working CDC-1 or CDC-2 CD changer (will not work without it).

Installation:

Disconnect factory 8-pin plug from CD changer port (See Fig. 1)

Connect factory 8-pin plug removed from CD changer in step 1 to 8-

pin female connector on adapter harness (See Fig. 2)

Connect 8-pin male plug from adapter harness (See Fig. 2) to 8-pin

connector on CD changer vacated in step 1 (See Fig. 1)

Route/connect red accessory wire from adapter harness (See Fig. 3)

to a 12V accessory source in vehicle (e.g. fuse box, cigar lighter, etc.)

Red wire must only be connected to suitable 12V

accessory supply source in vehicle. Never connect

to battery supply (always on) otherwise module

will not work as described and risk battery drain
