Manual balancing (if the balancing tool App don't work or there are other reasons):

This should be done with at least two people, three is ideal, and they be strong enough to hold you and

your seat whilst you are sitting in it. You may have come across advice online to balance the platform

with counterweights. We DO NOT recommend this, and strongly advise against performing this, it adds

unnecessary weight for the motors to lift and move, therefore more momentum is needed to fight

against whilst changing directions the best counterbalance IS your own weight.

The steps are:

1. Disconnect the tie rods from both motors as shown.

2. Ask the other people to hold the seat whilst you get in.

3. When seated in your normal position, the platform should be perfectly balanced, i.e., not

moving in any direction, and so should be easy for those holding it to level it.

4. Move the seat with yourself in it – with other parts - the COG balance point described

above.

5. Once it is balanced, reconnect the tie rods to the motors and check the performance of the

platform, checking that it is not overheating.

If one or more motors are getting hot during use, this is an indication that the platform is overloaded

on that side, and to address it you must take the weight away from that side.

You should not allow the motors to become hot under any circumstance. The motor contains magnets,

when these overheat, they start to lose power which cannot be reversed, the loss of power leads to a

substantial loss of performance an capability of the motor.

Never leave platform powered unattended or powered on when not in use. The motors are

constantly performing micro adjustments.
