Cyrus Quattro
Connection and Operation of the Quattro as a
CD/Tuner Source
The Quattro may be supplied or converted to provide the functions of a high
quality CD and Tuner source (when optional tuner module is fitted) in a Cyrus
system. When this conversion has been made, the legend 'Pre-amp' will no
longer appear as an installed option on the display when the Quattro is
connected to the AC power.
Connecting the CD output to the amplifier
Connect the CD Direct Outputs c from the Quattro to the CD input of the
amplifier.
Connecting the tuner output to the amplifier
If a tuner module is fitted, the output signal will be routed through the Tape
Output of the Quattro. Connect the Tape Outputs d from the Quattro to the
Tuner input of the amplifier.
MC-Bus connection
The Quattro may be connected into an MC-Bus loop with other Cyrus
products to enable remote system power control from the main amplifier.
Refer to the amplifier instructions for an MC-Bus wiring diagram.
Front panel operation
The front panel keys for controlling CD and tuner functions will still operate,
but there will be no response from the keys for Input Source Selection or
Volume Control (these functions will be available from the system amplifier).
Remote Control Operation
A Cyrus System remote control, such as the Audio Commander (supplied with
Cyrus amplifiers) will control all system functions for the Quattro and other
components.
Note: The remote control supplied with the Quattro will no longer operate the
unit.
